Webteam.de
Forma-Pro has a tight partnership with our German colleagues from Munich, webteam.de. Our collaboration started from vilago21 project where we worked hand-by-hand with the programmers from webteam.de. Then our partnership evolved into several full-time programmers from Forma-Pro working on the webteam.de web-projects.
Forma-Pro provided good and reliable services to webteam.de, so later webteam.de made a decision to restructure the company moving all the main development to Forma-Pro, Kharkiv, but leaving some minor maintenance work, management and marketing team in Munich, Germany.
Team in the team
During the next year this schema proved its efficiency and reliability, resulting in a recently signed contract between Forma-Pro and webteam.de officially confirming that part of Foma-Pro company is now a part of webteam.de. From that event webteam.de started to position itself as a company providing offshore managed development services.
webteam.de in Forma-Pro has its own standards, which does not mean that it's an isolated team. webteam.de in Forma-Pro is a part of a bigger team, so there are channels of experience exchange, common seminar and trainings, etc.
Team structure
Today "webteam.de inside Forma-Pro" consists of 2 full-time developers and a full-time manager. When needed Forma-Pro provides more man-power on demand to cope with the work in time-critical situations. There are direct communication channels between the programmers and the management in Munich, which makes the cooperation absolutely transparent for both sides.
Currently we have multiple projects we work on. One of them is vilago21, there are also another Symfony and typolight projects.
Methodology
We use Scrum inside webteam.de that allows us to reduce time loses on the management and stay flexible when it comes to changing requirements. In development process we take advantage of the automated tests (both unit and functional), refactoring and continuous integration.
The future
We look in the future with optimism that is based on a good results we have now. We expect the growth of the team in the nearest future.
